Susan Crile

Born 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio

Susan Crile was born in Cleveland Ohio. She attended Bennington College in Vermont where she received the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1965. In 1982 and 1989 Crile was awarded Artist's Fellowships by the National Endowment for the Arts and in 1990 she was a Resident in Painting at the American Academy in Rome. Since 1983 she has been a professor at Hunter College in New York City, where she lives and works today.
